Elected Members Working in Neighbourhoods
Neighbourhoods NW have teamed up with North West Employers Organisation to offer the Working in Neighbourhoods Level 2 programme for Elected Members. Working together to bring both organisations experience and expertise to the delivery has proved a huge success and we're pleased to announce that there will be new dates starting in June 2010.
"I found the course very informative relaxed
and enjoyable. The course content was valuable and relevant. It was
extremely well presented and the group gelled well. The interaction
between participants, from different areas and different political
persuasion was very constructive and a lot could be taken from
these interactions. A very worthwhile five
days." Councillor Eric Smith, St Helens MBC.
"This course 'hit the spot', it was delivered in such a way that it has inspired me to want to put learning into action. Formal learning delivered in an informal way. Met some lovely people from across the region." Councillor Brian Shaw, Trafford MBC.
If you are an Elected member and would like to take part in the
next course the closing date for applications is Wednesday
9 June and applications will be accepted on a first come
first served basis. Contact Sue Baxendale, NWEO Learning and
Development Projects, 0161 214 7112, sueb@nweo.org.uk to book your place.
