Big Society launched today here in the North West

David Cameron was in Liverpool today launching the Big Society ideas that aim to empower communities.

Speaking to an audience of local community groups, charities and community leaders, Mr Cameron said

"I want...forward thinking, entrepreneurial, community-minded people and neighbourhoods...to come forward"

Opportunity to join up the ideas put forward today with the significant neighbourhood work we have been involved in together in the North West should not be missed. We will be holding a series of forums for our Membership and wider partners to look at the implications and practical steps for the region.
