Connecting Communities - Next Membership Policy Forum

"Connecting Communities" is an ambitious programme designed to address the concerns of traditional working class communities across the country. Over 100 neighbourhoods across 75 local authorities, including 18 in the North West, are now involved in the £12m drive set up to ensure that all communities are well placed to share fully in future prosperity and emerge from the recession stronger and more cohesive.

In support of this programme Neighbourhoods NW is delivering its next Membership Policy Forum, Connecting Communities: What does this mean for Neighbourhoods?

This half day session will enable you to hear more about how the programme is being delivered in the northwest, how you can influence the shape of roll out and ensure you know how to access the support that will be available. In addition you will be able to hear from an authority where Connecting Communities activity is already underway, addressing specific challenges with practical actions that are giving people a bigger say in local issues and addressing local concerns.

11 Feb 2010, 10:00 - 13:00

GHS Centre, Preston

This Policy Forum will follow the same format as our October Policy Forum on Worklessness which was an extremely successful morning with 100% of attendees finding it valuable, inspiring and relevant to their work.

"concise and informative", "(I) received a number of good ideas to take back to the work place..." and "great networking - raised awareness of issues & strategies" are just some of the comments from delegates.
