Learning Faster and on a Bigger Scale - Meeting the Challenges of a New Decade : A conversation with Etienne Wenger
Etienne Wenger is an internationally known figure, who has been at the centre of research and practice around new learning models he defines as "Communities of Practice". His proposition is that the issues that face us, our communities and our planet mean we need to learn faster and at a larger scale than we currently know how to.
Increasing our learning capability is therefore an urgent imperative, but in order to do so, we need new models about how to proceed and new visions of what is possible. Taking such a broad view is ambitious, but Etienne argues it is an urgent task because our understanding of learning will guide how we perceive what is happening and decide what to do about it.
This event on 25 January 2010, gives you the opportunity to explore the practical implications of these developments: What do patterns and trends suggest for practitioners in business, education, government, and the non-profit sector? Where are projects and innovations that point the way? How can you take the first steps to learn faster and at a larger scale?
