Neighbourhoods NW was formed in response to a request from Government to maximise the regional reach and added value of existing neighbourhood resource services. As the regional gateway for access to information, training and support for those active in neighbourhood improvement in the Northwest, Neighbourhoods NW works strategically with many key partners locally, regionally and nationally.
Neighbourhoods NW is able to use its strategic position in
order to join up national and regional policy with neighbourhood
work on the ground.
This is achieved by holding policy forums and debates and communities of interest masterclasses. These events create opportunities for regional partners including frontline workers to be involved in policy decisions and how neighbourhood improvement is taken forward in the region.
Neighbourhoods NW captures and disseminates knowledge to support delivery of improvements and efficiencies throughout the region via the online Knowledge Hub and via registered contacts.
In addition Neighbourhoods NW operates a Membership scheme.
